The things people ask us
What plastics does ZWL recycle?
We mainly handle polyolefins like PP, HDPE and LDPE, along with mixed post-industrial and post-consumer plastic. We also take metal, paper, wood and glass scrap as part of bulk industrial waste.
Are you authorized to recycle plastic in Karnataka?
Yes. ZWL is authorized by both the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) to recycle plastic and solid waste.
Can you help my company become EPR compliant?
That's a big part of what we do. If your business puts plastic packaging into the market, we handle your EPR registration support, plastic credits, recycling, documentation and the annual CPCB filings under the Plastic Waste Management Rules 2022.
Can I buy recycled granules or sell you my plastic scrap?
Both. We supply human-contact-safe recycled granules to manufacturers, and we buy plastic scrap from businesses across Bangalore and South India. Send us a message with what you have or what you need.
What happens to the waste you can't recycle?
It doesn't go to landfill. Anything that can't be recycled is sent to cement plants as AFR (alternative fuel and raw material), so it's put to use instead of dumped.
Where are your facilities?
We run three units in Karnataka: two in the KIADB Industrial Area at Harohalli, and one in Tumkur. All three serve Bangalore and the wider South India region.
